The old saying always be selling might not be that good.
If you take any occasion trying to sell your product or service then people will start to avoid you as you:
- Tell the same stuff or story over and over again
- Are very pushy
Always be selling is not such a good advice as people won’t believe you because you miss respect, recognition and trust. Why would they trust you ?
Instead of selling you should spread your knowledge, experience and information for free in order to help people. Your first goal should not be the sale but to create interest, respect, recognition and even trust. Once you start to achieve this you can go into a sales mode but not earlier.
In the long run your goal is to be selling always but not showing it upfront or directly.
