Presentations: do it with KISS

Presentation guidelines

Everybody tries to make presentations. Many fail to get it right.

This is a presentation about presentations: Keep It Stupidly Simple!

Uploaded on authorSTREAM by PedroMello

Don’t:
- Use one of the typical Microsoft PowerPoint background
- Write sentences – use bullet points
- Show the Corporate presentation: it might confuse if it is not an integral part of the message
- Have more than 10-15 slides

Number of messages

We know that during a presentation one can only pass two or tree messages. When you could keep it to just one then the message might pass even better. However in most cases we have more than one message which is a problem. This requires to clearly segregate each message and grant each message the same amount of time and space in your presentation. At the end of your presentation give a short review of each message as a repeat will increase the chance of remembering each message of your presentation.

How good are your presentations ?
